Science Department Requirements:

• To be eligible, students from the Science Department should secure a total of 8 marks in their SSC and HSC examinations. An application with eight points or more, including results from the 4th subject, will be considered.
• However, it is imperative that both the HSC and SSC examinations individually have a minimum of 3.50 marks.
• Additionally, no subject should score below a B grade or have fewer than 3 points.

Arts Department Requirements:

• Applicants from the Arts Department must attain a minimum of 7.50 points. Eligibility for the D unit is granted to those scoring 7.50 (seven points in total), inclusive of the fourth subject in both SSC and HSC.
• Should a student score less than 3 points in either the HSC or SSC examination, they will be ineligible to apply for the D unit.
• Humanities students should focus on Economics or Mathematics during high school. Applicants can qualify for the D unit with a minimum B grade in Economics or a minimum A grade in Mathematics.

Business Studies Department Requirements:

• Business Studies seeking admission to the D Unit of Dhaka University must achieve a minimum of 7.50 points in both SSC and HSC.
• Meeting the 7.50 mark requirement, including results from the fourth subject, is mandatory.
• However, there must be a minimum of three points in both the SSC and HSC examinations to be eligible.

Dhaka University D unit Admission test marks distribution.

In 2022, Dhaka University introduced modifications to its admission test format. Alongside the multiple-choice question (MCQ) exam, candidates will now undergo a written examination. The combined assessment, comprising both the written and MCQ exams, will carry a total of 100 marks. The entire test will be completed within a time frame of 90 minutes, equivalent to one and a half hours.
